The Opportunity: UMG Nashville's art department had a full plate, but they wanted to make sure Billy Currington's latest release, "Enjoy Yourself," received the attention to artwork and branding that it deserved. So, they contacted Latocki Team Creative to help with the job.

The LTC Approach: With this album being released hot on the heels of Billy's sixth No. 1 single, "Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer," we wanted the look of the album to relect Billy's personality and help differentiate him from other laid-back country music sexy super stars, like Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney. At the beginning of our collaboration, Billy introduced the idea of using a black-and-white image on the cover. We chose an image that is extremely casual, a beach shot, but full of connection. When one of Billy's fans looks at that photo, we want him or her to feel like they're seeing a friend. We matched the black-and-white photos used for the album art with bright primary colors, creating a striking look that's laid-back but with an undercurrent full of energy – just like Billy. 

The Results: LTC created a 16-page, full-color CD package for Billy Currington and UMG Nashville. In addition, we designed a full-page ad template to help brand the CD launch and a line of tour merchandise. All parties were happy with the process and final product, which stands out on the shelves and will help Billy stand out from his competition.
